What a Pleasure

To send Bag on a Box out into the world.

I so appreciate  all of you who have invited (and continue to welcome), Crow, Phineas and me into their lives.
Many, many thanks for your orders.

Crow is still a little confused by it all.
Phineas is off adding to his skill collection.

Now I want to make another Comic Zine!
But what might Phineas want to learn?

How To Weave a Bag on a Box

6/22/2015

is Ready!

PictureThe Booklet

5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
-20 pages
-hand stitched
(at least the first printing).
-step by step instructions

- cute  narrators

When I thought to turn my instructions into a comic, it seemed a straightforward task.  I had, after all, written about the idea twice before. More fool me. Drawing comic instructions in the form of a Zine made it entirely new.  There were learning curves for every step and several opportunities for complete do-overs. This was oddly thrilling-- who doesn't want to make something better when you suddenly know how -- and has provided me with a number of  satisfying  skills, but I'm glad I didn't know quite how much perseverance the thing would require when I began.

The most recent part, getting the Zines into your hands, has come with its own special issues.  A Weebly  webstore or Etsy? PayPal or checks? And who knew that using a sturdy manila envelope with satisfying metal tabs would add 20 cents to domestic first class postage? Well, I do now. So I won't. Use them, that is.

New glitches will undoubtedly ensue tomorrow,
 or the next day,
or the week after that,
but as I don't yet know what those stumbling blocks will be,
I'll keep right on going.

If you are  interested in a set of instructions of your very own, you can click on the the drawing of Crow and Phineas above or the booklet image in the column on the right (at the bottom if you're on your phone), either of which will take you to my brand new Etsy store. Fill out the info and I'll pop a booklet in an envelope and send it right off to you. Sadly, Crow and Phineas do not address envelopes or bike to the Post Office, but I'm pretty reliable.
If you're an old fashioned kind of person or don't use Paypal or the Etsy based online credit card stuff,  you can send  me a check for $10 plus $2 for postage etc and I'll send you a Zine.
