Forgot to take a photo of them rolled up in the towel
for the big squeeze.

The choice of tapestry weight --
book, shell and stone--
is terribly important.

And it is particularly pleasing
when the stones
match the yarn --

I recognize the bowl, haha. Seeing all of these together makes me very happy. Dibs on one (or more) if you ever decide to sell them!

Those little weavings are just beautiful. Nice work, make a grey day sunny!

Glad to hear you wash your tapestries too. It is like fulling cloth. They don't seem finished unless I do that. I pin mine to those rubber floor mats, kids play on, with stainless steel pins so they don't put rust on the tapestry.

Love love love love ‘em (& you!)

It's hard to express how much joy this brings me tonight, then there's your comments on the imaginary place. It reminds me I need to get there once again with my weaving.
And just let it lead me.

These tiny tapestries are JEWELS. What setting will you put them in?

I am just clicking on everything - because you verbalize what my now-forever thoughts and weaving tapestry are focused on letting the tapestry weave itself choose colors, warp the loom, make one shape and go from there

Gosh Pru, I wish I knew. For now, making them is all I can think about. How (or if) they will present themselves to the world will have to remain a mystery, at least for now.... But I bet if I get an idea I’ll write about it here.

I love this all so much.

So inspiring. So beautiful.

One could play archetype (sp) style, not flip the card over style and every game between with these tiny tapestries. I love your looking in and out the windows, near and far, moving the view of the finder. I like these lessons, thank you.

I'm fairly new to weaving, But, love little ones! I have steamed a couple of mine.. is that a bad thing?

Lorraine — steaming is what most people do to finish tapestries, so you are doing the perfect thing. I use steam also, just after they ‘ve been washed and dried....

I will try to find some of the soap that you show and wash them first before I steam them... thanks a lot.. Lorraine
