Twice the Fun

Sometimes
doing two things at once
is a handy way
to avoid making decisions.

a regular four selvedge warp--

but quickly evolved into parallel dwellings
separated and connected
by a single warp.

I fully intended to cut them apart,

There's an awful lot of real estate in my world these days.

Good thing the houses are so easy to clean.

I do this a lot but it's usually because I made a mistake attaching my heddles and don't want to start over so I weave 2 at the same time

I love this concept, I'm trying to engage in an opposite season duo, not summer and winter as most weavers do. What I see and should do is weave my big ideas small first..... really, I love both. Thank you Sarah for subtle lessons to learn.

Love these sweet little tapestries. Also enjoying seeing the rustic spindle spun linen yarn in your work. Thank you Sarah.

is it ok to say "Sweet"?

Love it! The connection between the two houses adds another layer of interpretation. Lends itself to so many other thoughts.......

These tiny houses are so sweet! I am inspired to start another little four-selvedge tapestry today after allowing my tiny loom to languish for a year after taking a workshop from Michael Rohde. Thanks for all of the inspiration and instruction that you put into your blog!

I've taken all of Rebecca's on-line classes which were fantastic and I am looking forward to taking yours too.

Love reading your blog when I cone across it (mostly via Rebecca Mezoff) and was wondering how/where I could subscribe to get notified whenever a new “episode” becomes available?

Alas, my website program does not have a thingy that sends you an email when I've posted, but I try to send a newsletter every couple of weeks (just sent one today) with links to recent posts, and you can get on that list by signing up on the form on the right side or bottom of the blog page (dependson your device). It's not ideal, but is the best I have with the current system.... Thank you for asking and for your kind words!

Ha Ha Ha! "Good thing houses are so easy to clean." These are adorable and it is completely fitting they stay connected.

I love these. Simple as that.

Delightful! I love that you didn’t cut them...

Yes. Twice the fun. So glad you didn't cut them apart. They are meant to be together, inhabiting parallel universes with different color trim, but containing the same palette. Love.
